Privacy Policy

Farm::Local is a product of Project Almanac Inc. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use farmlocal.life, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

What we collect

Information you give us.

Beta sign-up form: your name, email, and, if you choose to share them, your phone number, business or farm name, location, zip code, farm size, current tools, interests, how you heard about us, and any message.
Contact form: your name, email, the subject you pick, and your message.
Email or phone: whatever you send us when you write or call.

Information collected automatically.

Basic usage data such as pages viewed, buttons clicked, and device and browser type, collected through our analytics tool (PostHog). We do not record your screen or sessions.
Our analytics may use cookies or similar browser storage to recognize a returning visitor.

How we use it

To add you to the beta waitlist and tell you about invites and updates.
To reply to your messages and support requests.
To understand how the site is used so we can fix problems and build what farmers need.
To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run Farm::Local, and only as needed for them to do that work. These include our database and hosting provider (Supabase), our analytics provider (PostHog), and our email provider for confirmation messages. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others. If Project Almanac is ever involved in a merger or sale, your information may transfer as part of that.

Email

When you sign up, we email you a confirmation and, later, news about beta invites and the product. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email or writing to us at the address below.

How long we keep it

We keep sign-up and contact information while you are on our waitlist or using Farm::Local, and for a reasonable time afterward. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. Contact us and we will respond promptly. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may work less well.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Farm::Local is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will make a reasonable effort to let you know.
